  • <p>2. <i>Arundinella spicata</i> Dalzell</p><p>Type:—Mahableshwur hills, common. <b>Lectotype (</b>designated here<b>)</b>:— INDIA. Maharashtra, Satara, Mahabaleshwar <i>s.d., Dalzell s.n.</i> (DD acc. no. 172602!). Fig. 2</p><p><b>Note:</b> —This species is unique in the genus <i>Arundinella</i> because its panicle like inflorescence as in <i>Setaria</i> (Bor 1955). A specimen from DD (acc. no. 172602) has Dalzell’s label as ‘Graminae, Mahableshwur’, distributed from K as Dalzell’s collection. A specimen with pencil annotation ‘ <i>Arundinella spicata</i> Mahableshwur’ is present in CAL (barcode CAL0000002087) but it is hard to determine the handwriting, there is no purchase label otherwise found on Dalzell’s specimens housed in CAL. Hence, the specimen from DD designated here as lectotype.</p>
