Holotype: ♂, Saudi Arabia: Sala Mountain: Abdul Rahman Al Jabri farm at 17°04'10.5''N 43°07'43.3''E (Efflatoun Bey collection, Entomology Department, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt (depository not given in the original description, taken from Pulawski, 2025).</p><p><b>Remark:</b> The species was described in <i>Nysson</i>, but belongs clearly to <i>Synnevrus</i>, which is restored from synonymy here. See introduction for details.</p><p><b>Recognition</b>: The male of <i>Synnevrus arabicus</i> can be recognized by the key characters, mainly by the colour pattern. It is the only Arabian species of the genus with a black mesosoma (with some red only) and with yellow spots or bands on T1-5.</p><p><b>Distribution:</b> Only known from the type area in the Jazan Province in Saudi Arabia (Fig. 36).</p> |
