It is specifically related to research on the social and professional networks of itinerant showpeople by dr Eva Andersen. These trade assosciations and trade periodicals rose all over Europe from the 1880s onwards. This list is <strong>not exhaustive</strong> and can receive updates in the future. It is primarily based on information found in these periodicals and in primary and secondary literature, which is not included. The list gives <strong>basic information</strong> on: </p> <ul> <li>Official periodical titel </li> <li>Founding year periodical</li> <li>End year periodical</li> <li>Periodical continued as</li> <li>Assosciation/syndicate</li> <li>Founding year assosciation </li> <li>End year assosciation </li> <li>Country</li> </ul> <p>A <strong>question mark between brackets(?)</strong> is used if:</p> <ul> <li>Some data (e.g. a year) is not known</li> <li>There is doubt about the data's accuracy </li> <li>There is conflicting information between sources</li> </ul> <p>A <strong>slash /</strong> in the column "official periodical title" and "assosciation/syndicates" indicates the different names under which it was known.</p> <p>For more details, or if you spot a mistake, you can always contact me.</p> |
