- <p>Flannery O’Connor’s fiction, long confined to theological or Southern Gothic interpretations, is reexamined here as a corpus of social theory. This paper advances <em>Socio-Cultural Displacement (SCD)</em> as a new framework revealing how O’Connor’s stories model the mechanisms of social conflict, expanding her work into sociological and policy-relevant domains.</p>
