  • <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Abstract:</span></strong></p> <p><em><span lang="EN-US">The purpose of this study is to look into how binge-watching affects social interactions, time management,<span> </span>and<span> </span>daily<span> </span>routines<span> </span>among<span> </span>college<span> </span>students<span> </span>in<span> </span>Chennai.<span> </span>The<span> </span>study<span> </span>examined<span> </span>the<span> </span>binge- watching habits, preferred platforms, and perceived impacts on lifestyle and social engagement of students<span> </span>aged<span> </span>17<span> </span>and<span> </span>older<span> </span>through<span> </span>a<span> </span>quantitative<span> </span>survey<span> </span>using<span> </span>an<span> </span>online<span> </span>questionnaire<span> </span>that<span> </span>included both closed-ended and Likert scale questions.<span> </span>The results show that binge-watching is a popular pastime that is frequently used as a stress-reduction technique, but it usually leads to missed meals, decreased time with friends and family, and disturbed sleep patterns.<span> </span>As a sign of a slow transition to healthier routines, some students have begun substituting hobbies and other constructive<span> </span>activities for excessive viewing. The study comes to the conclusion that although binge-watching is a common kind of entertainment, students' social and personal wellbeing may suffer if they engage in it excessively.<span> </span>It highlights the necessity of regulating mobile phone use during school hours, encouraging students to participate in physical activity, hobbies, and mindfulness exercises to attain a healthier lifestyle balance, and promoting balanced media consumption through awareness campaigns in educational institutions.</span></em></p>
