contents
This report investigates the Far-Infrared (FIR) emissivity of two Thrive Tape/True Power variations: Black on Black and Tan on Black, and one KT TapeTM variation: Pro Oxygen. The study aimed to assess their potential suitability for FIR therapy applications. FIR therapy utilizes specific wavelengths of infrared radiation (4-16μm) believed to promote healing and recovery after exercise. The slight reduction in emissivity, while not formally subjected to a statistical test provides plausible support for tape’s ability to reflect infrared body heat and thus warrants further clinical investigation into its therapeutic efficacy.
