| contents | <p><span>This study examined the profile of fraternity and sorority members and the level of implementation of the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018 in Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte. Specifically, it focused on respondents’ organizational affiliations and their perceptions of the law’s effectiveness in regulating fraternity and sorority activities. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Kruskal-Wallis H-test to determine differences among organizations. Results revealed that most respondents were affiliated with Alpha Epsilon Phi, indicating strong alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Findings further showed that the implementation of the Anti-Hazing Act was generally perceived as “much observable,” with the highest impact on increasing the registration of fraternities and sororities and enhancing adviser accountability. Statistical analysis confirmed no significant differences in implementation levels across different fraternities and sororities. The study highlights the importance of compliance with RA 11053 in fostering safety, accountability, and responsible leadership within student organizations. Recommendations include continuous monitoring, enhanced awareness programs, capacity-building for advisers, and promoting positive organizational culture to reinforce legal compliance and community-oriented engagement.</span></p> |
