By employing dual-species plasma mixtures (Li + H), GHz-range Electron Cyclotron Resonance (ECR) pre-ionization, and laser-assisted pre-heating, plasma formation efficiency (ηₖ) can increase by 20–40%. These techniques yield higher plasma uniformity, greater thrust stability, and enhanced conversion of impact energy into directed plasma motion. The study provides a theoretical model linking plasma species dynamics to KIPT’s exhaust performance and energy coupling efficiency.
