| contents | <p><strong><span>FOREWORD </span></strong></p> <p><span>This thesis emerges from a research path and a design sensitivity that address one of the most current and necessary themes in contemporary architecture: the ability of space to generate well-being, to welcome fragility, and to become a tool for care.<br>Arianna Lazzarin approaches this subject with rigor, empathy, and profound awareness, placing at the center of the project not the architectural object, but the person—with their sensory, emotional, and perceptual needs.</span></p> <p><span>In outlining the multisensory culture of design and retracing the history and principles of the Snoezelen Room, the author highlights a vision of architecture that goes beyond organizing functions, to instead construct atmospheres, relationships, and possibilities.<br>The final project proposes a measured and inclusive space that translates the theoretical principles discussed into form and returns them as an immersive, accessible, and deeply human experience.</span></p> <p><span>This thesis represents a meaningful contribution to the dialogue among architecture, neuroscience, pedagogy, and sensory design, demonstrating how architecture can once again become a place of listening and care.</span></p> <p><span>It is with pleasure and esteem that I present this work, confident that it will serve as a reference for future projects devoted to well-being and inclusion.</span></p> <p><span> </span></p> <p><a name="_Hlk213323276"></a><span>Professor Sofia Tonegutti, Supervisor</span></p> <p><span><span>ABAS - Academy of Fine Arts of Sanremo</span></span></p> <p><span><span>First Level Academic Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree equivalent) in Interior Architecture and Design</span></span></p> <p> </p> |
