contents
In recent years, sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and other alternative batteries (such as potassium-ion, magnesium-ion, and zinc-ion batteries) have become important research directions in the field of energy storage due to their abundant resources, low cost, and high safety. Meanwhile, heuristic optimization algorithms are increasingly widely used in complex optimization problems, especially demonstrating good performance in continuous optimization, combinatorial optimization, and multi-objective optimization problems. This paper proposes a multi-ion optimization algorithm (Sodium & Multi-Ion Inspired Optimization, SMIOA) inspired by the physical mechanisms of sodium-ion and other alternative batteries. This algorithm maps the battery's insertion/deintercalation process, ion migration, multivalent ion synergy, and interface stabilization effects into its search strategy, thus achieving an organic combination of local fine-grained search and global exploration. This paper systematically elucidates the algorithm's design philosophy, mathematical model, update mechanism, and innovative features, providing a theoretical foundation and methodological guidance for novel physics-inspired optimization algorithms.
