- <p><span lang="EN-GB">The analysis of data on positive assessments of future prospects between 2012 and 2023 across Italian regions provides a detailed picture of people’s perceptions of confidence and optimism over a complex period marked by economic crises, partial recoveries, political events, and the Covid-19 pandemic. Overall, national data suggests a moderate yet widespread improvement in confidence, with significant differences across geographic areas and annual variations that reflect the influence of economic and social factors. The absolute and percentage changes indicate that although optimism has grown in many regions, not all have shown the same ability to consolidate this improvement over the long term.</span></p>
