| contents | <p>This report contains the Deliverable D3.6: “DE-RISK Local Flexibility Markets Policy and Regulatory Roadmap for 10 EU Countries” of the project DE-RISK - <em>DE-RISK the adoption of Local Flexibility Markets to unlock the safe and reliable mass deployment of Renewable Energy Systems</em>, funded by Horizon Europe programme under Grant Agreement No. 101075515. It is a result obtained from Task T3.5 - “DE-RISK LFMs Policy and Regulatory roadmap for 10 EU countries”, implemented in M24-M30 and led by Sofia Energy Agency SOFENA with the participation of all consortium partners. </p> <p>The objective is to provide a basis for policymakers and stakeholders for developing more informed RES policy and for analysing market dynamics when including all renewable energies. The document provides open, evidence based, comprehensive guidelines, targeting high impact local, national and EU policy makers, for strengthening the flexibility services (FS) and Local Flexibility Markets (LFM) policy development process, thus supporting the market uptake of renewable energy sources (RES). </p> <p>The DE-RISK regulatory recommendations package will support policymakers to have active end-user participation in a system where residential and commercial buildings have traditionally remained passive.</p> <p>DE-RISK will provide insight into the complexity of market arrangements for the eligibility of Demand Response (DR) to participate in various short term electricity markets; an examination and breakdown of the roles and responsibilities of existing and newly emerging market players and; recommendations on the fair allocation of costs and benefits amongst the various LFMs stakeholders. </p> |
