•
This work proposes a paradigm shift in seismic design by redefining structural regularity as a tensional field rather than a geometric condition. It introduces the Law of Tensional Continuity and the Law of Imposed Orthogonality, showing that orthogonal layouts force vector breaks, generate over-stress, and increase material demand. The paper develops the concept of active vectorial geotechnics and defines isovectorial foundations as extensions of the natural force trajectory. The approach demonstrates that stability arises from continuous vector flow across soil, foundation, and structure, offering a unified mechanical criterion for seismic design.
