-
Dedicated to the memory of our beloved friend Enzo Lippolis, who years ago proposed us to resume the study of the temple found during the Superintendence 's excavations beneath the church of St. Domenico in Taranto, this essay attempts to resume a discussion on the monument interrupted some time ago, on the basis of a recent survey and new observations derived from it. The aim has been to use all available data to propose a more complete reconstruction of the temple's layout during the first half of the 5th cent. B.C., placing the building in the context of the rich season of the Western Greek architecture at the end of the Early Classical period.
