contents
ABSTRACT
The competitive advantage of the e-commerce sector in today's digitally
changing world is determined by an adaptable, robust, and efficient
information technology infrastructure (Lintasarta, n.d.; Radar
Sukabumi, n.d.). This study aims to model an IT infrastructure using a
cloud-native approach and analyze its impact on a company's
operational capabilities and competitiveness. The methods used include
a systematic literature review and comparative empirical analysis,
focusing on case studies of regional e-commerce implementations and
the DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) metric as a numerical
performance benchmark. The results show that the use of cloud-native,
supported by a microservices architecture, Kubernetes (K8s)
orchestration, and DevOps principles, provides two important benefits:
flexibility in managing operational costs (as evidenced by the ability to
reduce the number of servers by up to 30 times to optimize operational
expenses) and accelerated product launch time (TTM) (reinforced by an
increase in site speed of up to 46% and an MTTR of under one hour). The
research conclusion states that the cloud-native model is a strategic
need that can transform market instability into an opportunity to gain
competitive advantage through increased budget efficiency, system
failure risk management, and accelerated continuous innovation.
Keywords: Cloud-Native, E-commerce, Microservices,
Competitiveness, Risk Management, Time-to-Market.
