contents <p>This article is about the history and historical monuments of a city that has been one of the most important centers of civilization and culture in Iran for about six thousand years. It has an ancient city, among which can be mentioned in the Torah, Raghe in the Avesta and in the Greek texts of the Seleucids, Europe and in the Sassanid period, Ray is also mentioned as Ram Turquoise. The ancient city of Ray was contemporary with Babylon and Nineveh in terms of antiquity and was considered one of the most prosperous and living cities of the Great Medes in distant times. Ali says that it was one of the first important centers of civilization in the central plateau of Iran. The name of Rega in the Achaemenid inscription in Biston shows its importance in the Achaemenid period. Ray is also mentioned in the Avesta as a sacred city. Various pottery and vessels discovered related to the Sassanid period and various remaining buildings of that period are also a sign of the importance of Ray during the Sassanid period.<br>Regardless of the sanctity and importance of Ray for Zoroastrian clerics and the importance of its fireplace is equal to the fireplaces of Azerbaijan and Azar Barzin Mehr and Kavian, Ray was very important in pre-Islamic governments such as the Achaemenid Empire or economic and political systems. The beautiful and magnificent fence of Ray well illustrates its importance. In this article, architectural works such as the Silent Tower, the Rashkan Fortress, the Gabri Castle, the Mil Hill, the Ray Fence and the Sassanid inscriptions are introduced.</p>
