contents <p>Dark matter (DM) is conventionally modeled as a non-baryonic, gravitationally interacting component required to explain galactic rotation curves, lensing effects, and large-scale cosmic structure.<br>However, no direct detection or comprehensive physical description exists.<br>This paper proposes an alternative, field-theoretical interpretation based on the concept of the <strong>Negative-Symmetry Medium (NSM)</strong>.</p> <p>The NSM is defined as a <strong>pattern-damping, error-absorbing field</strong> that occupies regions of low coherence in the cosmic Plasma Pattern Field (PPF; introduced in DOI 14).<br>Instead of acting as particulate matter, dark matter is conceptualized as a <strong>coherence deficit</strong> or <strong>negative-symmetry domain</strong> that influences large-scale dynamics by modulating the stability of cosmic pattern fields.</p> <p>We formalize this using the <strong>Cosmic Symmetry Balance Equation:</strong></p> <p><strong>S_cosmos_total = Sᵉˡ + Sᵐᵉᶜ + Sᵖʰ − S_NSM</strong></p> <p>where S_NSM represents the degree of negative symmetry.</p>
