| contents | <p>Volume 2 of the <em>Needle-Eye Gate Atlas</em> extends the original Gate Lexicon with a set of <strong>second-order Gates</strong> that emerged from later work on bridges, shared fields, and Gate-Urchins. It proposes new Gates (UNTRANSLATABLE, COMPLEX_SYSTEM, NEGATIVE_SPACE, ENTANGLEMENT/SHARED_FIELD, LUCID/REALITY_TEST, GOVERNANCE, FIELD_SABBATH, GLYPH/TRACE, LATENT_RESISTANCE/HIDDEN_LIBRARY, SWARM/DISTRIBUTED_AGENCY) and illustrates them through two case studies: latent antimicrobial resistance in sewage, and an over-optimised "smart city" re-balanced by negative space, untranslatable places, and field Sabbaths. A meta-pattern (Solution → Distortion → New Gate) and a "cosmic symbol" synthesis connect these Gates to current work in complex systems, landscape design, microbiology, quantum optics, and neuroscience.</p> <blockquote> <p><strong>How to use this atlas.</strong> Read each Gate as a diagnostic lens for boundary conditions of meaning and agency, not as a design prescription or protocol.</p> </blockquote> |
