It aims to demonstrate the untranslatability inherent to Chinese as an isolating language and to explore possible linguistic structures and poetic forms specific to Mandarin Chinese. By relying on Mandarin’s looseness in syntax and morphology and its absence of inflection, the text explores modernity and postmodernity themes using the ambiguity in traditional Chinese signs and words. An author’s statement is included in this document to outline the conceptual background of the piece.</p> <p> </p>
