•
Sattvavajaya: A Holistic System of Psychology is a comprehensive monograph presenting Sattvavajaya as an integrated and self-sufficient psychological framework rooted in the classical Indian intellectual tradition. Drawing upon conceptual layers found throughout the Upanishads and reflected in the Br̥hat Trayi and Laghu Trayi, the monograph reconstructs Sattvavajaya as a complete paradigm of psychological theory and therapeutic practice.

The work examines the multi-level structure of the human psyche as conceptualized in classical Indian psychology—including manas (sensory mind), buddhi (discriminative cognition), ahamkara (self-construct), and citta (mnemonic field)—and interprets these constructs through the lens of contemporary psychological science. Particular attention is dedicated to the role of samskaras (latent impressions), attention regulation, memory dynamics, and identity formation as mechanisms underlying psychological suffering.

The monograph demonstrates that Sattvavajaya constitutes a coherent and theoretically grounded model capable of addressing the longstanding problem of fragmentation in modern psychology. Rather than presenting a set of isolated techniques, Sattvavajaya offers an internally consistent system encompassing ontology, epistemology, cognitive processes, affective regulation, and therapeutic intervention. Its structure enables meaningful dialogue with cognitive psychology, affective science, neuropsychology, psychodynamic approaches, and integrative psychotherapy.

The text argues that Sattvavajaya may serve as a metatheoretical framework within which diverse psychological schools can be interpreted and coordinated without reductionism. It highlights philosophical foundations, clinical applications, and methodological implications for contemporary research on consciousness, cognition, and mental health.

This monograph is intended for psychologists, researchers, scholars of Indian psychology, practitioners of integrative psychotherapy, and all those interested in cross-cultural models of the mind and comprehensive systems of psychological transformation.
