| contents |
Recent evidence of a substantial link between artificial intelligence and public administration suggests that, from a sustainable development goals perspective, quality aspects of the availability of drinking water deserve attention. Human activities have disrupted hydrological cycles, adversely affected ecosystem services, and negatively impacted economic and social development (Shen & Chen, 2010). Additionally, regional water mismanagement and pollution have a direct impact on the global economy (Hoekstra, 2014). To manage our natural resources sustainably, with special emphasis on water, which necessitates an integrated approach with the use of artificial intelligence in water resource management. This approach can help monitor water quality in real time, predict water availability, and optimize water usage. By incorporating artificial intelligence into water resource management, we can make more informed decisions that benefit both the environment and society. Ultimately, this integrated approach will contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals related to water and ensure the availability of clean drinking water for all. This paper will present empirical evidence on an integrated approach to sustainable water management through the application of AI. The findings suggest that the AI system is cost-effective compared to extensive water sampling and lab testing, as well as showcasing a model of innovation-driven public service improvement and promoting equitable water access, ensuring long-term sustainability.
|
