Tabla de Contenidos:
-
This repository contains the Python simulation scripts used to generate all
numerical results and figures in the manuscript:

Christian Ader,
“Emergent Metastable Structure in a Nonlinear Diffusion–Reaction–Decay
Scalar Field”, submitted to Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation.

The scripts implement and explore the nonlinear scalar-field equation

∂_t Q = D ∇² Q + η Q^α – ξ Q,

on two- and three-dimensional periodic domains, using explicit finite-difference
time stepping. The repository includes:

• 2D solver for the full PDE (Q-field evolution, statistics, and power spectra)
• 2D Q-field + tracer dynamics with Φ obtained from ∇²Φ = Q
• 2D static-source comparison solver using ∇²Φ = ρ
• 3D extension of the nonlinear Q-field solver

All simulations use dimensionless (“a.u.”) time and space units.
No physical scales are assumed or implied. The scripts reproduce exactly the
numerical experiments presented in the associated manuscript.

All code is self-contained and requires only NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib.

This dataset is provided to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and ease of
reuse in nonlinear dynamics and PDE modelling research.
