This study examines the enzyme’s transition from traditional applications to contemporary roles in bioremediation, emphasizing its catalytic mechanisms, microbial sources, immobilization techniques, and recombinant engineering. Evidence shows that naringinase effectively degrades phenolic and aromatic pollutants under mild conditions, aligning with sustainable development goals. Current trends in enzyme optimization and nanomaterial-based immobilization underscore its growing relevance in industrial waste management and green chemistry.

Keywords:

Naringinase, bioremediation, biocatalyst
