-
Abstract

This paper introduces Planet Funnelling as a hypothesized grammatical logic underlying planetary attribution in Jyotisha, approached not as a mythic or belief-based system but as a civilizational language of experience. The study proceeds from an explicit working assumption: that the universe behaves as an organismic system in which astronomical, temporal, psychological, and experiential structures are synchronously ordered. Under this assumption, Jyotisha is interpreted as a systemic encoding of long-term observed correspondences between planetary configurations and variations in human experience, maintained across generations through structured elements such as Nakshatra, Rasi, Navamsa, and Dasa frameworks.

The Dasa–Yuga Framework (DYF) (Swaminathan S, 2025) and its PUT extension are referenced solely as analytical lenses that reveal recurring structural regularities—most notably 360-based synchronization—without being presented as complete or exclusive causal theories. Building on this structural plausibility, Planet Funnelling is proposed as a reconstructive hypothesis describing how planetary configurations may function as experiential filters, producing stable symbolic attributions that persist even where original derivation logic has been historically obscured.

Methodologically, the paper deliberately restricts demonstration to emotional and personality analysis, using Nakshatra–Pada repetition, Navamsa rulership, and Vimsottari Dasa as coordinated interpretive instruments. Broader cosmological, predictive, or causal claims are explicitly reserved for future investigations. By defining a bounded, reproducible interpretive pathway within a single experiential domain, this work establishes a foundation for systematic coherence testing of planetary emotional attribution without asserting final causality or doctrinal closure.
