ChatterBox is a full-stack engineering project that explores the design, development, and evaluation of a scalable real-time messaging system built on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) with Socket.IO enabling low-latency, bidirectional communication. This paper integrates research literature, practical engineering techniques, performance benchmarking, security evaluation, and data modeling decisions into a cohesive architectural study.
