contents <p><span lang="EN-US">This paper presents a primary record of an individual citizen's long-term participation in distributed computing projects during the early 21st century in Japan. Without formal higher education in mathematics, computer science, or related disciplines, the author contributed computational resources through publicly available platforms such as BOINC and PrimeGrid using commercially available personal computers under ordinary domestic conditions. The record includes documentation of the discovery of a 1,654,187-digit generalized Fermat prime (2,042,774^262,144 + 1) in 2016, demonstrating that meaningful scientific contribution remained accessible to ordinary citizens equipped with consumer-grade computing hardware. The purpose of this paper is not to introduce new mathematical theory or computational methodology, but to preserve a verifiable historical record demonstrating how large-scale scientific computation became accessible to non-specialist individuals.
