-
Gravitational redshift is traditionally interpreted in General Relativity (GR) as a change

in photon frequency caused by spacetime curvature or time dilation. In this work, we present

a complete derivation of gravitational redshift within Stiffness Field Cosmology (SFC), where

photons are localized wavepackets propagating through a physical elastic vacuum characterized

by a stiffness field K(x). We show that gravitational redshift arises not from a change in photon

frequency, but from a systematic reduction of oscillation amplitude as photons climb a stiffness

gradient. The resulting energy shift exactly reproduces the GR redshift formula and agrees with

laboratory experiments (Pound–Rebka) and satellite clock data (GPS), while preserving phase

coherence and avoiding frequency redefinition.
