-
This release documents Codex Prototypes v1–v3, a staged computational framework for identity-preserving, governed evolution in long-horizon systems. The prototype series progresses from (i) verified numerical primitives for gradient and Laplacian operators on discrete grids, through (ii) a governed evolution operator enforcing invariant constraints (mass and entropy), to (iii) a pilot-ready control layer incorporating audit logging, tamper-evident records, and stakeholder-facing interfaces.

Across the three stages, the prototypes demonstrate internal mathematical consistency, numerical correctness, and the practical viability of invariant-gated updates as a mechanism for reducing uncontrolled drift relative to ungated baselines. Validation is performed through analytic comparison, convergence checks, and controlled simulation studies. The results establish a reliable computational substrate for governed dynamics but do not claim the discovery of new physical laws or empirical validation of natural phenomena.

This work contributes a reusable control and governance methodology applicable to AI systems, long-running simulations, and other systems requiring stability, auditability, and constraint preservation over extended horizons.
