This migration process generally occurs from underdeveloped regions to more developed and advanced regions. Considering the reality of intercity migration in Türkiye, big cities that seem to have pull factors have always been one of the most important directions for migration. At the same time, small cities also possess some push factors. These factors have changed over time, and people migrate to different places during the intercity migrations as consequences of push and pull factors. In this paper, the historical changes of the factors affecting migration in Türkiye will be examined. Theoretical aspects of migration process, history of intercity migrations and their push and pull factors, fundamental motivations and sociological factors and consequences of migration process will be analysed. Eventually, a comparative analysis of intercity migration according to the different periods will be presented.</span></span></span></p>
