  • <p>The treatment of time differs fundamentally across quantum mechanics, quantum gravity, and general relativity, leading to persistent conceptual inconsistencies commonly referred to as the <em>problem of time</em>. In this paper, we apply a layered mental construct model of time to analyze the role of time across these frameworks without modifying their established dynamical equations. We show how this model clarifies the absence of time in the Wheeler–DeWitt equation, the external parameter role of time in the Schrödinger equation, and the coordinate-based nature of time in spacetime geometry. By interpreting time as an emergent measure of observable change rather than a fundamental physical entity, the framework streamlines conceptual irregularities across these domains. This approach provides a coherent interpretational bridge between timeless quantum gravity and relativistic physics, explaining the effective absoluteness of time within local frames and its relativity in comparative measurements.
