- <p>This repository contains<strong> 19'925</strong><strong> zipped mitochondrial genomes (Mitochondria.tar.gz)</strong> as well as the <strong>3,727 Representatives (Mitochondria_Representatives.tar.gz)</strong> recovered from metagenomic datasets (n = 3,400 metagenomes). These genomes will soon be uploaded to the <strong>European Nucleotide Archive (ENA)</strong>. Each mitochondrial genome is accompanied by a <strong>manifest text file</strong> <strong>(Manifests.tar.gz),</strong> as well as for the<strong> representatives files (Manifests_Representatives.tar.gz) </strong>detailing the <strong>sequencing technology</strong> and <strong>assembly algorithm</strong> used for its reconstruction.</p> <p>Note: Each mitochondrial genome contains a dummy contig for technical reasons. Submissions should include only one contig per mitochondrial genome.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
