| contents | <p>The managerial structure consisting of the principal and vice principals, the number of whom is determined by the size of the school, who direct the efforts of the elements that come together to realize the aims of the school towards the purpose of the organization can be called the "school management team". The success of the team of school management depends on a strong team spirit. Team spirit can be defined as the willingness, patience, perseverance and effort of each team member to work together to always achieve the team’s goals and under all circumstances, before and beyond their individual goals. In the study, the question ‘What are the causes and consequences of strengthening and weakening in the team spirit of the school management team according to the opinions of school administrators and teachers?’ was sought to be answered. This research, in which the views of school administrators and teachers on the harmony of the school management team among themselves are tried to be understood, was conducted with the interview method in the qualitative phenomenological design. In the interviews, which were video or audio recorded by the researcher, a total of five questions were asked to the participants and notes were also taken about the process. Content analysis method was used to analyses the research data. The general conclusion of the study is that the two main concepts of team spirit formation and development in school administrators are harmony and disharmony among administrators. Accordingly, the more harmonious the members of the management team are, the stronger the team spirit becomes and the more incompatible they are, the weaker the team spirit becomes. It can be suggested that legislators related to the functioning of educational organizations should avoid legal regulations that may be related to the causes that weaken the team spirit in the school management team and the consequences of a weak team spirit and should focus on the content of legal documents that strengthen the team spirit on the other hand.</p> |
