-
The Standard Model relies on the empirically successful but unexplained gauge group SU(3)_c × SU(2)_L × U(1)_Y. We propose that these symmetries emerge dynamically from the hydrodynamics of a turbulent primordial fluid vacuum. Building on the fluid-vacuum model with advected nonlinear Maxwell equations [Aksman, 2025], we identify vortons, singular, closed-loop vortex filaments as the fundamental topological excitations. We argue that catastrophic instability of turbulence in dimensions D > 3 triggers "Hydrodynamic Compactification," collapsing extra dimensions until residual compact geometries stabilize vortons against reconnection and decay. The observed gauge symmetries are the topological survivors of this process: U(1) from axial filament stability, SU(2)_L from chiral arrest in twisted residuals, and SU(3)_c from the minimal Borromean linking required for immortal composite structures. This framework unifies spacetime geometry and internal gauge symmetries as consequences of turbulent stability conditions in the early universe.
