contents <p>This dataset contains the indicators and composite scores used to develop and apply a <strong>Capability Maturity Model (CMM)</strong> for assessing institutional innovation in engineering education. It includes data for <strong>58 engineering universities across the Americas</strong>, covering scientific publications, citations, patents, and international collaboration.</p> <p>Data were obtained from <strong>OpenAlex</strong> and <strong>Espacenet</strong>, normalized to ensure comparability across institutions, and aggregated into a composite maturity score (Q) ranging from 0 to 1. Each institution is classified into one of five maturity levels, from Initial to Optimized.</p> <p>The dataset supports comparative and reproducible analyses of research and innovation capacity in engineering universities and can be reused for longitudinal, regional, or sector-specific studies.</p>
