contents
This repository contains data from a study that was run within Austrian high schools (AHS) from June to November 2025 to investigate game-based learning on data literacy in 14-to-18-year-olds, using the game MediaWatch. The dataset includes n = 129 participants (after additionally excluding those with failed instructed response checks), who were randomly allocated to one of three feedback conditions, receiving either verification, elaboration, or attribution feedback. Then, outcomes were investigated in terms of performance, emotions, motivation, and attitudes.

The currently included code for data processing and analysis was prepared for a thesis to obtain the master's degree in Computational Social Systems from University of Graz and Graz University of Technology with the following title: "The Impact of Different Feedback Types: Game-Based Learning on Data Literacy and Its Relation to Emotions, Motivation, and Attitudes".
