- <p>In SP3 framing, “space-phase” is not a passive backdrop but a conditionable medium with<br>memory, stiffness/compliance, and angular-mode organization. Many readers first<br>recognize these capabilities through light-path selection in the double-slit and single-hair<br>obstruction experiments, where allowed and forbidden angular paths appear as bright and<br>dark regions in the air next to obstructions to the laser light. This paper alerts readers to<br>another visible display of the capabilities of Space-Phase – water. Water is an ideal<br>medium in which to understand space-phase because it is slow, visible, and highly<br>cooperative. Flowing surface water acts as a revealing medium that makes space-phase<br>capabilities observable with the naked eye. This paper helps readers see water in a new<br>and educational light, as a catalog of behaviors (interference ripples, standing waves,<br>vortex streets, wakes, jets, and shock-like transitions) that reveal space-phase. This is<br>logical since SP3 theory holds that particles (water) and waves (steam) are both<br>manifestations of space-phase. This means surface water is itself space-phase with a<br>surface tension boundary layer to overlying air wherein post-boundary space-phase serves<br>as a second rule-applying component, as disclosed herein.</p>
