contents
We propose a heuristic refinement of the idea that spacetime curvature responds primarily to
the classicalized portion of quantum stress-energy, i.e., the part that becomes operationally real via
irreversible information registration (environmental monitoring / decoherence / collapse-like dynamics).
The key move is to replace an undefined "information rate" source with a covariant,
observer-independent scalar that quantifies irreversibility (entropy production or Lindblad entropy rate),
and to embed the proposal within a stochastic semiclassical gravity picture: the metric couples to a
conditional (record-dependent) stress-energy rather than to the raw vacuum expectation value. In this
framing, Lorentz-invariant vacuum contributions are absorbed into the renormalized cosmological
constant, while additional large vacuum estimates are dynamically sequestered unless they are
converted into persistent records by boundary conditions or matter. We outline consistency conditions
(covariant conservation, Newtonian limit, and Equivalence Principle bounds) and propose experimental
routes that directly test gravitational sourcing by mesoscopic quantum states.
