-

Arch Quest is an interactive learning experience that merges architectural exploration with mathematical modelling. Players act as digital explorers navigating an interactive world map populated with landmark buildings from various continents. By selecting and investigating each building, they access historical and cultural information and then move to a design phase using GeoGebra AR, where they apply mathematical and geometric principles to create architectural models inspired by their discoveries. The prototype combines experiential city exploration, inquiry-based learning and creative problem-solving in a single STEAM-oriented environment.

Here is the link to the video: https://youtu.be/MoiWAN9u0Vk

Additional Information for Researchers

Open for discussion and modifications regarding:

The way 2 technologies communicate with each other

The selected landmarks and areas

The way information is provided

Additional Information for Educators

Upon completion, Arch Quest will include a teacher worksheet and guide. Educators will be able to:

Guide students in exploring architectural landmarks using ChoiCo EXT

Facilitate transitions from exploration to mathematical modelling using GeoGebra AR

Encourage reflection on geometry, structure, and cultural context

Currently, it can serve as a demonstration or as inspiration for educators designing similar interdisciplinary lessons.

Publications

El Bedewy, S. & Nikolaou, M.S.
