contents <p>"Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) are major public health issues, associated with several comorbidities and increased mortality worldwide. Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) has emerged as the most prevalent form of chronic liver disease closely related to both obesity and T2D. The ketogenic diet, referred to as a Very Low Energy Ketogenic Therapy (VLEKT), is increasingly applied in clinical setting for its effectiveness in promoting weight loss. It has also shown promise in reducing hepatic<br>fat accumulation and fibrosis. However, the effects of VLEKT on glucometabolic parameters<br>remained to be fully clarified. Aim: This 12-weeks pilot study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the VLEKT on body composition, glucometabolic and liver parameters in obese subjects diagnosed with T2D and MASLD."</p>
