contents
Abstract
This research investigates the integration of sustainability principles within logistics,
supply chain, and manufacturing operations to mitigate environmental impact and
enhance operational efficiency. The study examines the interplay between logistical
processes, supply chain design, manufacturing technologies, and environmental
performance, aiming to identify best practices and innovative strategies for achieving
sustainable outcomes. A comprehensive literature review synthesizes existing
knowledge on green logistics, circular economy principles, lean manufacturing, and
environmental management systems. The research employs a mixed-methods
approach, combining quantitative data analysis of supply chain performance metrics
with qualitative case studies of manufacturing companies implementing sustainable
practices. The findings highlight the significant potential of integrating sustainability
considerations into strategic decision-making across the entire value chain, leading to
reduced carbon emissions, waste minimization, and improved resource utilization.
The research concludes by proposing a framework for implementing sustainable
logistics and manufacturing practices that can drive both environmental and economic
benefits.
