contents
This study examines the significance of transportation infrastructure, particularly pipeline transport, during World War II using the example of Bashkir ASSR. Historical facts are presented regarding the establishment of a unified center for managing the oil industry ("Bashneftekombinat") and the development of pipeline transport in the region. It is noted that the pipeline system played a crucial role in supplying fuel to frontline areas and rear regions, although its capacity often proved insufficient. The necessity of further studying the history of pipeline transport during wartime is justified, emphasizing the importance of archival materials and publications from those years. Prospects for deeper analysis of the role of the region's oil industry in the Soviet people's victory are described, highlighting the lack of attention paid to pipeline transport in modern studies. It becomes evident that there is a need to expand research in the field of pipeline transport during World War II, drawing attention to issues of informational secrecy and difficulties in processing large amounts of material. This study has significant implications for understanding the contribution of Bashkortostan's oil industry to the victory of the Soviet Union and emphasizes the uniqueness of local resources and technologies for oil transportation.
