| contents | <p>This repository contains photos for the fossil specimens included in the manuscript "Evaluation of DNA and collagen preservation in Late Pleistocene and Holocene bovid fossils from South Africa". Also included is Table S1 from the manuscript, which contains metadata of the specimens represented in the photos. Image files are named with the SampleID (Table S1). Most specimens have several photos, indicated by an underscore and a number (e.g. SampleID_1, SampleID_2), usually of different sides of the specimen. Phase 1 specimens (see Table S1) include "Before" and "After" in the file names, which indicates that the photo was taken either before or after destructive subsampling of the specimen. Phase 2 specimens only have "before" photos (not indicated in the file name).</p> |
