contents
The book analyzes how the accelerated development of digital technologies has profoundly transformed cultural practices, not only in technical terms but also in the ways in which bonds, collective meanings, and participatory processes are constructed. In this context, cultural management faces the challenge of making use of digital tools to expand access and cultural diversity, while also responding critically to inequalities, commodification, and algorithmic logic.

The book emerges from a call addressed to Latin American cultural managers to reflect, from situated perspectives, on the relationships between cultural management, communication, and digital technologies. It is characterized by its geographic, professional, and methodological diversity, bringing together contributions from different countries and profiles, including research, critical reflections, and intervention projects.

The work is organized around four thematic axes. The first addresses community agency and digital participation, showing how technologies can strengthen collective processes, social inclusion, and symbolic emancipation. The second focuses on the relationship between technology, heritage, and digital humanities, highlighting interdisciplinary approaches to cultural research, preservation, and dissemination. The third analyzes changes in media and cultural consumption practices, especially in the post-pandemic context. The fourth examines technological mediation and training in cultural management, emphasizing the importance of critical, ethical, and creative education.

Overall, the book offers a broad and situated perspective on the intersections between culture, communication, and technology in Latin America. Through case studies and methodological proposals, it highlights innovative experiences in cultural mediation, heritage, audience development, and professional training. Finally, it proposes rethinking the role of cultural management in the face of contemporary challenges, from a perspective oriented toward social transformation, inclusion, and cultural justice.
