| contents | <p>Abstract<br>This parchment, preserved in the archive of the Royal Chancellery<br>of Valladolid, contains a family agreement between<br>an uncle and a nephew, to resolve the conflicting situation of<br>inheritance that had already lasted fifteen years. The formal<br>richness of the document is striking, containing three notarial<br>acts, with three different dates, three different groups of<br>witnesses, in which the same notary, the same judge and<br>the same good men act. The dimensions of the parchment,<br>the good handwriting and the condition of a cured document<br>guarantee the social status of the Galician language<br>in the 15th century. The place name Balinfra in the oral tradition<br>of the municipality of Nigrán (Pontevedra) is related to<br>the ancestors of Luís de Camoens.</p> <p>Resumo<br>Este pergameo, conservado no arquivo da Real Chancillería<br>de Valladolid, contén unha avinza de familia, entre<br>un tío e un sobriño, para resolver a situación conflitiva<br>da herdanza que xa duraba quince anos. Chama a atención<br>a riqueza formal do documento que contén tres actos<br>notariais, con tres datas diferentes, tres grupos de<br>testemuñas distintos, nos que actúan o mesmo notario,<br>o mesmo xuíz e os mesmos homes bos. As dimensións<br>do pergameo, a boa caligrafía e a condición de documento<br>curado avalan a categoría social da lingua galega<br>no século XV. O topónimo Balinfra na tradición oral do<br>concello de Nigrán (Pontevedra) está relacionado cos<br>antepasados de Luís de Camoens.</p> <p> </p> |
