•
Present study was conducted with the major objective of examining the relationship between ‘mental health’ and ‘academic achievement’ of students at the secondary level under the CBSE board in Jaunpur district. In this study, a survey method was used, and a simple random sampling technique was applied to select 190 female and 190 male participants. Their mental health was measured using the ‘Mental Health Battery (MHB)’ (by Arun Kumar Singh and Alpana Sen Gupta, 2000), and academic achievement was assessed based on the marks obtained in the board examination. Statistical analysis of the found data shown that “there was insignificant difference (P>0.05) in ‘mental health’ based on gender, while there was a significant difference (P<0.01) in ‘academic achievement’, and mental health had a positive impact on academic achievement.”
