It brings together structured records for individual documents, integrating descriptive and interpretative fields that capture key palaeographical observations alongside basic contextual and documentary information, in order to support controlled comparison across items and hands.</p> <p>Conceived as a research dataset, the database is intended to make the analytical process transparent and reusable. It allows users to trace how particular graphic features were identified and recorded, to explore patterns within the corpus, and to reuse the data for comparative work on scribal practice, local documentary production, and the social uses of writing in the early medieval Iberian world.</p> |
