| contents | <p><em><span>The digital economy has significantly transformed the nature of work and employment across the globe. introducing new opportunities while posing significant challenges Rapid advancements in information and communication technologies (ICT), artificial intelligence, platform-based business models, and automation have altered traditional employment relationships, workplace structures, and skill requirements. This paper examines the evolving patterns of work in the digital economy, including gig work, remote employment, platform labour, and automation-driven job transformation. The study is descriptive and analytical, based on secondary data. drawing on recent studies, it examines how these changes affect job creation, skill requirements, employment structures, and worker well-being. The analysis reveals a net positive impact on employment, with technology fostering productivity gains and flexible work, though it also shows inequalities in earnings and job stability. Policy recommendations emphasize reskilling, inclusive digital access, and regulatory frameworks to mitigate disruptions.</span></em></p> <p><em><span><span> </span>This research contributes to understanding the digital economy's role in shaping future labor markets.</span></em></p> <h2> </h2> |
