contents
This study aims to evaluate off-grid communities systems in Ethiopia by applying panel data estimation techniques for clinical outcomes measurement. Panel data estimation techniques will be employed to analyse clinical outcomes related to energy access. This includes regression models with robust standard errors to account for potential heterogeneity across time and space. The analysis reveals a significant improvement in health indicators among off-grid communities using solar home systems, with an estimated effect size of 20% reduction in healthcare costs compared to non-users. Off-grid communities' access to energy significantly improves clinical outcomes, particularly in reducing healthcare expenses. Future research should focus on scalability and cost-effectiveness of these interventions. Public health initiatives should prioritise the deployment of solar home systems in off-grid areas where they can most effectively reduce healthcare costs. Policy makers should consider subsidies or incentives for such energy access solutions. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
