| contents | <p>This case study examines environmental engineering solutions implemented in industrial settings within Zambia over a one-year period. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including surveys, interviews with stakeholders, and analysis of industrial emission data. Statistical models were used for trend analysis and predictive modelling. During the study period, there was a significant reduction in particulate matter emissions from industrial sources, specifically by 20% (95% CI: -18%, -23%). The implemented pollution control measures were effective in improving air quality in urban areas of Zambia. Further studies should focus on long-term sustainability and the integration of renewable energy sources into industrial processes to enhance environmental performance. Industrial Pollution Control, Environmental Engineering, Air Quality Improvement, Mixed-Methods Approach The maintenance outcome was modelled as $Y_{it}=\beta_0+\beta_1X_{it}+u_i+\varepsilon_{it}$, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.</p> |
