-
Deliverable D3.1 is the first version of a series of deliverables focusing on the Low-Cost Sensing Nodes (LCSN) and the High-Density Sensor Network (HDSN) architecture. It includes the technical requirements of the sensing node translated from the pilot requirements, the technical design and implementation of the node with its technical specifications, and the initial version of the HDSN architecture. Emphasising efficiency and adaptability, the document navigates through the system's architecture, sensor selection, power management, data transmission, and packaging. It also presents the wireless HDSN aspects, including communication technologies, data flow architecture, formats, and protocols, aligning with the overarching objectives of the project. Through collaborative efforts and meticulous design iterations, this deliverable sets the stage for realising a robust and scalable sensing infrastructure poised to improve data acquisition and transmission in areas challenging for environmental measurement.
